Fill ‘er up
We have two full length LP’s coming out this spring titled “Winter Lightning” and “Sawdust & Rum”.
We are now releasing a video for the song “For All The (Doomed) Lovers” which is off of Winter Lightning. The video was filmed in our rehearsal space in Franktown Studios by Justin Lachance.
The second song ‘Sawdust & Rum’ is the title track from our other upcoming album ‘Sawdust & Rum’ and can be streamed and downloaded from Soundcloud here:

Winter Lightning was recorded here in Montreal at the legendary Hotel2Tango with Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Wolf Parade) and features a more pop aesthetic.
For ‘Sawdust & Rum’ we traveled to Nova Scotia to self record the album in a cabin on the ocean. The album was inspired by the recent passing of Rick’s grandfather:
“This album was inspired by my grandfather’s life. His name was Ernest Keith Reid but most people called him Keith. I called him grandpa.” … “Some details may have been changed for the sake of rhyme/poetry. We recorded this in a cabin on the Northumberland Strait not far from where he grew up. It is very beautiful there.”
We will be touring Western/Eastern Canada, Northern USA, and the Eastern USA in support of these records in spring/summer. Both albums are slated for release this spring, check our website for pre-sale and the official release date, coming soon.
February Sale!!!
We’re having a sale this February on ‘These Things Happen’, ‘Concentrated Living’, and ‘Peacemaker’. Each of the records is $5. You can order them through our website www.clamourrecords.com.

Chantelle Tyler recently used Burn Down the Churches, Dirty Rain, and Distractions in her film City of Boreas. You should check it out.

We sat at the kitchen table with the whiskey, having it out. Falling back in. Years we hadn’t spoken closer than brothers then nothing.
He wasn’t a drinker yet. Maybe this was the start. Him three years older, his own apartment and car he couldn’t pay for. I had dropped out of high school
and was aimless, heartbroken. We grew up mirrors of what we hated in ourselves and things we wished we could be. We used to write songs together,
then about each other. I was crying, saying sorry for all my arrogance and ignorance, jealousy. We were both jealous of different things.
His mother was dead. We both missed her. We missed us. We’d both been gone for so long. Where were we?
I used to say things like, ‘what would your mom think of you now’?, ‘if your mom could see you…’
Cheap shots. Not really effective when we both knew she couldn’t. See him. Because when you’re dead you’re gone, as far as we understand living.
We always agreed on that point. Even when I was weak, and played dirty. I was a poor sport. I still am. I can’t stand losing. I don’t want to lose you.
I know you need her, but you don’t need them. They are not angels. There are no chosen ones. No heaven. Don’t forget.
Until the next time, my brother.
