Two Fresco bean burrito grilled please

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the Chicago, Toronto, and St Cats shows. Specific shout outs to The Haiti crew in Chi-Town, Korey Schaefer, Dan Burke, Brianne Nesbitt, Indoor Shoes, MP, Mark & Nicole, Gunner’s Daughter, Ryan/Dave from the Indie Machine, Prince’s When Doves Cry, Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call me Maybe, the nut off his meds in Michigan who reached in the van and took our keys out of the ignition and told Rick to “do what he was told” while Rick listened to R & B in the van, and as always the border service. Tour was fantastic and I hope anyone we spent the time with had as much fun as did. Love you guys…but the girls mostly.

Clamour Records is happy to announce the arrival of The City Streets’ 4th and 5th LP’s entitled ‘Winter Lightning’ and ‘Sawdust & Rum’ out May 4th 2012. Pre-sale is at citystreetsband.com and clamourrecords.com.
A video and a single from each album is streaming below.

Winter Lightning is 12 songs under the influence of classic power pop and Motown and features the inventive arrangements you’ve come to expect and love from the boys.
Themes of friendship, morality, loyalty and awe are explored in addition to good ol’ love and death. The album was recorded on 2 inch tape at Hotel2Tango in Montreal with
Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade). It will be released on vinyl, Itunes and digital download. Tracklist below:

Side 1:
1. For All The (Doomed) Lovers
2. Concentrated Living
3. Tristesse
4. Lie Laugh
5. How I Pray
6. Love is Real
Side 2:
7. Into the Place of Dead Songs
8. Waking Up To Motown
9. After I’m Gone
10. Innocence=Lust
11. Nameless
12. Cacophony

‘Sawdust & Rum’ – This album was inspired by my grandfather’s life. His name was Ernest Keith Reid but most people called him Keith. I called him grandpa. I played him the
song ‘Everything Works Out’ years ago and he said I got the story mostly right. Some details may have been changed for the sake of rhyme/poetry. We recorded this in a cabin
one grey week in September on the Northumberland Strait in Nova Scotia not far from where he grew up. It is very beautiful there. The songs have white noise and sadness, joy and
walls of distortion. Sometimes all at once. – Rick Reid.

The album will be released on CD and Itunes. Tracklist below:

1. There Are Stories
2. The Deer
3. Sawdust & Rum
4. Be Good
5. Nothing Can Be Planned
6. Calendar
7. Everything Works Out
8. Better Than Silence
9. When I Was a Younger Man
10.Labyrinthine
11. The Squirrel
